GoLabel II | Get to know your software (Toolbars)
The GoLabel Toolbar menu is in essence a shortcut to the function menu items, easily accessible. The toolbar menu includes the Main Toolbar (discussed here) and then the left vertical toolbar (tools to use when designing artwork). The left vertical toolbar is discussed when we start our first print job.
The first item on the toolbar enables the user to open a New artwork tab for designing a new print.
You can click on this option multiple times, to open multiple artwork designs in different tabs
The Open toolbar option is used to open a design that is already saved to a folder on your computer hard drive.
The Save and Save As options allow you to save an artwork in the .ezpx file format used by the GoLabel Software on your computer hard drive.
Once saved, and you wish to do a second version or update on the artwork you can then select save as, to add an iteration. For instance label.ezpx can then be saved as label-v1.1.ezpx.
Next on the toolbar is the Close and Close all options. These options either close the current artwork you are working on, or if you have multiple artwork tabs open, you can use the Close All function to close all the tabs.
The Next Toolbar option is the Page Setup Option. We will discuss The Page setup option in detail later, because there is settings that must be correct for your software and printer to communicate effectively.
The next two options on the toolbar is the Printer Setup and Direct Print options. The Printer Setup option will be discussed in detail later, as it is an important option with many setting to communicate the software with the printer.
Once you are ready to print, you don’t need to reset the printer setup every time. By simply clicking on the direct print option, the software will send whatever is ready and open on the GoLabel desktop to the printer.
The last option on our main toolbar is the database option, we don’t use this option on our desktop model, as it requires a certain amount of presence when printing, and it is not advisable to print ribbons to a remote location.
