Godex Training Session in using the printer and software.
I host these sessions, online, live and interactive so I like to demonstrate and guide, and then watch while you do it on your side to get your printer going.
Requirements to book a training session:
- Electricity (to plug in your printer),
- a working computer loaded with Windows, that is at least Intel Core i3 or similar, where we can install the software.
- your computer must have a webcam (laptops work great) with a microphone (built in or otherwise). We need to see and hear each other since the training sessions are live and interactive.
- A copy of Microsoft Teams or Zoom installation that let’s you attend meetings online.
- A GoDex GE300, G500 or EZ120 Desktop Thermal Transfer Printer (new or used) but in working condition (buy one here if you need one).
- Accessories such as labels or ribbons (100% polyester satin), some clean resin/wax to print on (buy some here)
- and an email address or South African telephone number where i can reach you to book your training dates and times.
What we cover in a typical training session
- First we unpack and set up the printer with electricity and to your computer. I explain what everything is (the green flanges and black sticks) and where they go. The best way to open and close your printer and starting it up.
- Then we load some ribbons/labels and resin. and make sure these are setup correctly.
- Next is the software, where i give you an outline of the work area, what all the menu items do (not advanced, there is not enough time).
- We learn how to setup a page for printing.
- I teach you how to add text and images, how to swivel and size them.
- we learn how to setup the printer for printing, and what settings should be standard for what type of prints.
- and once we are ready, we print something.
I like the interactive way of show and tell, and then do (you will be required to follow along on your own machine so we can see if there is any issues we need to address)
